Bitcoin’s white paper turns 12: nine celebrities wish you a happy birthday

Nine Hollywood celebrities wished Bitcoin well, though some of them obviously know very little about cryptocurrency
On Cameo, a video-sharing platform, nine celebrities published happy birthday messages for Bitcoin (BTC) ahead of the 12th anniversary of the publication of its white paper on 31 October.

The videos were paid for by the Halborn crypto security company and feature well-known faces, musicians and comedians from Hollywood, including David Hasselhoff, Charlie Sheen, Carole Baskin, Charlamagne Tha God, Gilbert Gottfried, Doug Benson, Hassan Johnson, Soulja Boy and RZA.

Celebrities have read statements, showcasing different levels of crypto knowledge. Charlamagne Tha God wondered if the images he found on Google typing ‚Satoshi Nakamoto‘ actually represented Satoshi.

Charlie Sheen praised Satoshi Nakamoto and said he was excited about the possibility of investing in BTC once he found a job. He admitted that he had little knowledge of cryptocurrency.

Hasselhoff, on the other hand, said he invented BTC:

„I would like to tell the world […] that Bitcoin was not invented by Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin started with me, „The Hoff“, David Hasselhoff. I invented Bitcoin, and I will keep what I know about it a secret.“
Carole Baskin, star of the series „Tiger King“, praised the virtues of contactless payments during a pandemic situation, predicting that virtual currency will be „the future“. RZA wondered instead whether „soon there will be a Wu-Tang Bitcoin“.

31 October commemorates the publication of the Bitcoin white paper, but the network’s „genesis block“ was extracted on 3 January 2009.
